KEEPER! Ichiro / Fielder / Marmol for my Bruce / Delmon /ETC

12x23 H2H NONSTANDARD keeper league.
Keepers: 1IF, 1OF, 1SP, 1RP to be next year's first 4 rounds. Everyone else dropped.
Hitting: R, HR, RBI, AVG, SB, BB, K, 1B, 2B, (3B, E, GS)<===these are 'luck' cats to improve parity.
Pitching: W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP, BB, HLD, IP, QS, (L, BS, CG)<===luck categories

my bruce, delmon, krod, pineda
his ichiro, fielder, marmol

should I do it? does this help out my team? am i losing value anywhere by doin this?


Keep in mind some odd categories (singles, doubles, strikeouts, BB, error/3B/GS (less important) )
seems to put more emphasis on contact hitting is my opinion.

my keepers would be
Votto
Holliday
Weaver/Verlander/Lincecum
Krod (or Marmol)

the bonus is if I win the league this year, i get another keeper (youkilis or fielder if this works)

Let's break it down... if you say contact is better in your league, then Ichiro is a great answer to that. He's very consistent at it as well.

The rest is a bit tricky. I currently KRod and Marmol on par. They both have 8 saves, Krod has 17SO to Marmol's 18SO. Marmol's blown two saves and look inconsistent at times. KRod may be on a good streak, but I don't think their numbers at the end will differ much.

Which brings us to Delmon Young + Pineda for Fielder. I think it's worth the trade. Pineda pitches for Mariners so he's not going to get much help. Delmon's injured so there's no telling how long he will take to settle back in. Fielder's very consistent and isn't even hitting above his career stats which means he could do this all year.

I own Ichiro, and he's on track to have another great season-@ 37 years young.
Prince is in a contract year, so you'd better believe he'll produce, especially after the Brew Crew gave Braun a HUGE extension.
Marmol and K-Rod, like the previous poster stated, is a coin toss.
