give- Mark Teixeira, Jon Rauch get- Adrian Beltre, Nick Markakis
I need someone for 3B. I only have David Freese, Edwin Encarnacion, and Ryan Roberts. Freese is on the DL for awhile, Encarnacion sucks, and Roberts doesn't play every day. I have Adrian Gonzalez, so I can lose Mark Teixeira. the only 2 OF players he has that I'm interested in are either Markakis or Bobby Abreu. the rest of his lineup other than Beltre have issues, I don't really want, or are too high to get. he still has interest in Rauch.

Yea you can get more for Teix then this, but I see where you are going with it. Beltre is not bad but with Teix you should be able to get ARod, possibly Longo. But I do like you giving up Rauch seeing as how the Toronto closer situation is either going back to Francisco or by committee.
I agree. Markakis (I own him) is frustating as hell to own, and Rauch job is in jeopardy so a pure Teixeira for Beltra trade is not worth it. See if you can get someone better than Markakis.
problem is those who have other 3B I'm interested in, don't have another option. owner of David Wright, only has him for 3B. owner of ARod also has Gordon, but wants a lot for Gordon, and I know it sounds stupid but I just don't like Rodriguez. owner of Longoria has Fielder at 1B and no need to trade Longoria for Teixeira. owner of Bautista doesn't want to trade him, which is fine because I don't trust Bautista anyway. owner of Youkilis does also have McGehee, but wants too much for either of them. any other 3B are either injured or I don't have much interest in. my hope with using Teixeira is I can get someone at 3B, but also improve elsewhere more than just 1 position. I don't think Markakis is this bad, and will get back to his usual numbers including more HR than he had last season. this is not a keeper league, but it's a private league and we play with most of the same people every season. every owner is competitive and active on a daily basis.

Consider asking for him to add an elite closer (Bell, Wilson, Rivera, etc) on top of it. So a 3:2 trade.
Tex is elite, and unlike when I owned him LAST year, he's not dying day by day. You can do much better for a top 25 infielder, even if he is at an overabundant position.
