Use #1 Waiver on Padilla? SP/RP

10 Team H2H league. with Saves and Holds.

I have the #1 waiver and really want to save it, but am thinking of using it on Vicente Padilla. He has SP elgibility so i could use him as a 6th RP in theory.

I already own Bronxton and Kou, so i would be stacking a 3rd Dodgers RP, but he wouldnt count toward my RP as he has SP elgibility. even after he loses(if) the closer spot, he could be used as saves?

No. There is way too much that could happen here to waste a #1 waiver on Padilla. Broxton could be back and this could have been what was bothering him. Who knows. No matter what save that for something better later on.

ok, i'll just try to pick him up in the morning and hope no one else snagged him with a waiver.

Not sure if this helps, but if you can find a way to apply it to your league...

We play a points league system, a win is 10pts, a save is 6pts. 3 starting pitchers, 4 relief pitchers per day allowed.

A guy on my league just picked up Padilla and we're kicking ourselves that we didn't spot it earlier.

He's slotted Padilla into the SP slot since obviously we rarely get 3 SP's pitching on the same day... so now he gets a 5th RP while all others have 4.

It's a huge advantage and if your league is anywhere close to mine, I'd do it.

same thing in our league, it allows a 6th RP. i'm just really scratching my head to see if its worth the #1 waiver
