How do you guys think his stats will compare to Smoak's for the remainder of the season?

Good call. I'll be interested in what the Royals plan to do with interleague games approaching.

Would love to see him get some time in the OF during this stretch. I could use the multi-position eligibility.

Extremely doubtful since they would have to sit either Gordon or Frenchy in order to do so.

OR MAKE GORDON PLAY 3B! I would love to see him get that eligibility..

Then they would have to set Betemit. While I certainly don't expect it to last, its nice for a change for the Royals have .850+ OPS guys at every offensive-oriented position.

Not bad, but you forgot the steal. Of home. And the 5-out save.

Just kidding... In all likelihood, he'll only get 3 homers before they start walking him. That's why I'm toning down my expectations.

The Royals sold 4000 tickets following the announcement of the call-up. They were expecting perhaps another 10K buying at the gate for the game today.

Not a bad debut.

0-2 2Ks 2BB 1SB

Should really be 1K and 3BB as he got totally screwed in his last at bat. Full count and Fuentes gets the call on a pitch that was both outside and low.

Very impressed with the plate discipline.
