Use #4 Waiver Priority on Nick Markakis? WHIR

I play in a 12 person, 6x6, H 2 H daily transaction keeper league that counts OPS and holds, and has individualized outfield positions. The former Nick Markakis owner dropped him the other day, and he clears waivers tomorrow. Is it worth using # 4 waiver priority to get him, and if not, is it worth picking him up if he clears? I was thinking of dropping Adam Jones for him.

It is worth noting that, under our keeper rules, Markakis is keepable for next year.

I don't think I would use a #4 for him but I would wait to see if he slides and then maybe pick him up afterwards if you think its worth it, because in my opinion I think Jones will be just fine. His AVG is struggling a little bit but he's putting up pretty decent numbers (he has outproduced Markakis in every category so far AND he has the SB potential, more so than Markakis)...BUT the keeper status for Markakis would be nice, seeing as he's usually MUCH better than what he is doing right now, and he definitely could pick it up and outproduce Jones. In the end, I wouldn't worry about it right now and I would wait it out. Hopefully this helps a little bit

I wouldn't use my WW priority on him. Plain and simple he is not that good. Also, Jones is better in every category except for avg so why would you drop him for Markakis? Hang on to what you got. I am sure Markakis will clear waivers and you can pick him up later if he ever turns into what he was supposed to be.
