Giving up too Much? Francoeur, Butler, Bucholz get Fielder?

10 team 7 x7 mixed league with 2B, OPS, K/9 and QS as extra categories. Am I giving up too much sending off Billy Butler, Francoeur and Bucholz (low k/9) for Prince Fielder? My corners are AROD, Aramis Ramirez, Butler and Berkman. OF is McCutchen, Pence, Rasmus, Upton, Crisp.

Short answer: No, you are not giving up too much. I would be amazed if someone would be willing to deal Fielder for that.

Really? In a doubles and ops league, Butler is legit. Francoeur has the 1st round pedigree with two 100 RBI seasons and one 30HR season who is in his age 27 prime with a new hitting approach. Could easily go .280 27HR, 90 RBI. Those two alone are close to Fielder value especially if the guy receiving them has Marlon Byrd, and Ben Francisco as his starting outfielders. Bucholz is decent with a likely 15 win, 3.30era on the horizon.

Yes, Butler and Francoeur hitting their ceilings are worth Fielder hitting his 50%ile projection.

Francoeur is a total sell-high right now. He will not continue his current pace. I like Butler, but Fielder >>>> Butler.

And Buchholz is droppable in most 12 teamers, let alone 10 teamers. 3.30 ERA? Really? With those peripherals? Low Ks, high BBs, too many HRs = 4+ ERA. Don't be seduced by his former prospect status or his lucky 2010. He's not going to be a fantasy stud.
