I can see both sides here. You have OF depth, so trading an OF makes sense. You have a lot of good pitching but you don't have an ace. Cruz has looked pretty lost at the plate these past weeks. Your closing situation is also pretty tenuous.

However, I still wouldn't make the deal. Nelson Cruz is just too (potentially) good. And your pitching staff isn't hurting - you've got a whole bunch of live arms there. I would definitely look to trade an OF, though.

I would definitely not do this trade. You don't really need Lester, but you really need Cruz. He has MVP potential (though Lester does have Cy Young potential) but I'd still stay put here.
