Stubbs, Markakis and Bills for CarGo huh? Hmmm...

I really like Stubbs a lot. Markakis is only 27 and looked like he'd be a superstar at 25. And Bills is a very good pitcher entering his prime. You'd get very good depth from the deal...but...CarGo's upside is well beyong anyone else in this deal. Stubbs is never going to hit for average...Markakis has been a big disappointment since "breaking out"...and Bills, while solid, has averaged only 12 wins the past two seasons.

Hmmm...I'm leaning towards no. Your pitching is pretty good so Bills isn't a huge need. Outside of CarGo and Reyes, I don't love your line-up. Is Stubbs and Markakis going to make you that much better? Prolly not because whatever upgrade you get with Markakis over whoever, you'll prolly be equal in the downgrade from CarGo to Stubbs.

I would say no unless you could substitute an IF from the other team for Markakis. Just don't see how he would do anything for you. Your pitching is already pretty good, so Britton and Bills really don't add anything to the deal.

I own CarGo in all three of my leagues so I know what youre going through. Like the others have mentioned I dont see this trade making you that much better if at all AND Im still believing he will return to last years form (admittedly Im biased since I have a lot riding on him too)!

I would take the deal with Stubbs, Markakis, Billingsly. 3 very servicable players in the top 100 for 1 guy. Maybe its just me but in that situation where you like all 3 players (which I do in this case) and you can use them all ( I would sit Maybin) I would say that 1 player, in this case CarGo, would need to put up Pujols like numbers already to change my mind, which he is not. In your case I would drop Barton and Leake to make the deal.
