Loshe+Bruce+Lyon for Lincecum+McCutchen

Hi,

New to FBB and have not kept up with baseball in past 10+ years. I need help deciding if this trade is worthy long term. I am in a keeper league. Lester and Cabrera are my keepers from last year (i took over someone else's team). I can have them one more year or choose new ones for two years each.

On paper for pure numbers, I come out ahead. Loshe's numbers are currently better than all my SP and believe it or not Lincecum is my 4th best starter on average so far this year.

McCutchen seems like he's coming on and Bruce appears so far to be an upgrade but I would think McCutchen is better long term. I have Ichiro for RF and he's doing very well, but overall my batting sucks and he's my 2nd/3rd best player behind Cabrera & Stephen Drew.

I would prob drop Burnett for Lyon or anyone else you may suggest?

Long term I do not know what to do, its my first year in Fantasy Baseball and my Coworker trading me grew up with baseball so he's definitely on the know with these players.

Any help is appreciated.

no way i make this trade your giving up 2 studs for Bruce a good young player...yes Lohse has good number with a good pitching coach but im still not buying im sure he will wear down and lyon is not a solid closer at all ...stay put your giving up too much!

I would highly advise against it. Lyon is most certainly, the worst starting closer in the league, and if the astros weren't so awful some one could take the job from him. Loshe is legit, but we both know linc will have a better year than loshe will when push comes to shove. Bruce is legit, but in no way is this a fair trade when push comes to shove.


Putting it in perspective, I wouldn't own lyon.

That would be a pretty awful return for Lincecum and McCutchen.
