Kimbel for Markakis?

Postby Brewins33 » Tue May 03, 2011 10:50 am

In 5 x 5 head to head league with only 20 waiver moves throughout season.

Have been offered Markakis for my Kimbel. On waivers for relievers (saves) are: League, Fuentes, Gregg, Rauch, Farnsworth, Santos, Aardsma (DL)

Would you do this trade? If so, who would drop on offense to accomodate Markakis? And who to grab for saves off of waivers from mentiond above?

Still on waivers for OF are: Fracouer, Ryan Roberts, Alex Gordon, Coughlan, Carlos Lee, Fowler

Wow.... How are Gordon, Roberts, and Francouer on waivers........ What pitchers are on your WW. Not sure your 2 SP on your bench should even be on your roster. Aardsma and Santos would be my first targets for closers. Markakis really didn't do anything last year and isn't changing anything up at all this year. So, I really don't see how this trade really helps you, especially when there are players on the wire that are out playing Markakis.

I think the other guy is just about to cut Markakis and either pick up Alex gordon or one of the closers off waivers. He's just trying to see if he can get a little something without burning one of his 20 waiver moves before he cuts him. Beat him to the punch and add Gordon. ;-D Lewis and Jackson don't belong on your team, Wells doesn't either and certainly shouldn't be starting..

I think you can get a better return for Kimbrel. Though I wouldn't deal him at all since I feel he's one of the most dynamic closers in the game right now.

just keep Kimbrel. He's a stud closer and you have Venters. while Markakis is extremely ordinary as an OF'er. You can find that level of player in other ways.

Santos should really be owned and probably swap Gordon for Wells. Yeah I know that you only have 20 moves but these could be really valuable players this year.
