Postby Alkaholik » Mon May 02, 2011 6:10 pm

my batting bloooows, its worst in the league, but i have a nice pitching staff. Figured i need to try and trade some of it for Longoria before he comes back.

SP: Gavin Floyd(CWS - SP)

C Brian McCann (Atl - C)
1B Justin Morneau (Min - 1B)

3B Miles Aviles (KC - 3b,2b,ss)
SS Starlin Castro (ChC - SS)

You could try that, but if you're trading SP for him it's gonna take first round talent..... Not knowing the other teams roster or needs, I'm thinking it's not going to be enough.

I don't think it's likely to get Longo for any less than your two best SP and that would cripple your staff. Even that's a stretch as most Longo owners wouldn't consider moving him for pitching unless they were getting Hallady, Felix or Lincecum plus an excellent second player. I think you are better off trying to get a lesser 3B or for less or a better 1B than Morneau. You might be able to parlay someone like Weaver or Kershaw for a Youkilis type but I think it's unlikely you'd get Longo with either.
