What do you guys think of this trade? The other owner needs help badly at 2B or our MI position, and I have a surplus of 2B and closers.
12 team ESPN H-to-H standard 5x5
My team:
C - Carlos Santana
1B - Albert Pujols
2B - Dustin Pedroia
3B - Kevin Youkilis
SS - Jimmy Rollins
2B/SS - Howard Kendrick
1B/3B - Billy Butler
OF - Justin Upton
OF - Jay Bruce
OF - Jayson Werth
OF - David Murphy
OF - Jerry Sands
Util - Travis Hafner
BN - Dan Uggla
BN - Logan Morrison (DL)
P - John Axford
P - Joel Hanrahan
P - Mitchell Boggs
P - Frank Francisco
P - Sergio Santos
P - Max Scherzer
P - Justin Masterson
P - Wandy Rodriguez
P - Jorge De La Rosa
BN - Ted Lilly
DL - David Aardsma
We have one DL spot, and I recently picked up Morrison since he should be back May 5th. I'm also planning on picking up Domonic Brown once he gets the call to Philly (will drop Sands) so I am looking to clear a roster spot.
What do you think of sending Werth, Kendrick, and a closer (Boggs or Axford) for Dunn and Choo in return?
Should I hold off on sending a closer in that deal?
I feel that Adam Dunn a fantastic buy-low candidate right now. He's off to a horrible start but seems to put up 40 HR every single season. In that lineup, in Chicago, I can't see him falling too short of that number.
I realize I need pitching help but I'm attempting to add as much value to my team as possible, even if I am stockpiling offense. I recently traded Broxton + Austin Jackson for Werth, and Michael Pineda for Dan Uggla.
