How is it stupid? A wild pitch is done while pitching, an error is done while fielding. It makes perfect sense.

Nah it is still stupid. A wild pitch is still basically an error. A ground ball to the pitcher with an overthrow to first is an unearned run but a wild pitch scoring a run isn't. Pretty much unearned runs in general are idiotic. It is an archaic system that messes up the balance of defense vs pitching completely at this point.

i challenge anyone to find a worse starter in the majors right now. i'd rather start eli whiteside at 3rd.

oh yeah. he sucks.

i can only hope you guys took my advice about spot starting absolutely everyone against the giants and picked up gorzelanny for that start.

I did ::raises hand:: got him for two starts in my NL only. He could turn into a pumpkin in his next outing, and i'll stil be happy.

Was at the game, Lohse actually looked pretty good. I'm not a huge supporter of his but he was throwing strikes for the most part and really pitched very well except for the one inning, and he had a 2-2 count and tried to sneak one by Gaby, who put it into the bullpen. Same thing with Stanton, he threw a 2-0 change that he never should have thrown and Stanton POUNDED it. It didn't help that he couldnt count on his defense, also Descalso is awesome out there. He may not continue to dominate but he should be good enough to start the rest of the season if healthy.
