She said always remember never to trust me She said that the first night that she met me She said "there's gonna be a time when I'm gonna have to go with whoever's gonna get me the highest."
McCarthy is lucky as hell. 2 throwing erros charged to him per Yahoo and all 4 runs end up unearned.
Perhaps this was talked about elsewhere at some point but if the pitcher makes an error why would the resulting runs be unearned? Seems if he screws up it should be his fault.

Because he is a fielder when he makes the error, not the pitcher.

yet a wild pitch leading to a run is an earned run. some baseball rules are just stupid.
if you pretend that miguel tejada is literally any other major league, minor league, college player, high school, or most little league players in existence (including pitchers and catchers), then bumgarners final line was:
7 IP, 1 hit, 0 ER, 0 BB, 7 Ks
actually he'd probably still be pitching so it's impossible to say, but what i can say is that miguel tejada didn't even touch a weakly hit ground ball about 3 feet to his left and somehow it was called a hit. i challenge anyone to find a worse starter in the majors right now. i'd rather start eli whiteside at 3rd.
