Matt Joyce worth the add?? WHIR, as always!

Postby BiGAnT » Mon May 02, 2011 12:12 am

Does anyone think picking up Matt Joyce would be a better option over any of my current OFs?? I have Fuld but am not sure what to expect down the road and Joyce seems to be doing much more than him right now (but the question is, is it just a hot streak or is this guy for real??) Also, who would be the first option to drop (you can include pitchers to drop if you think that would be a smarter play). Thanks guys! :-)

Joyce might be better than Vlad in the short term. Joyce has a huge platoon split and as such he's going to be/already is a very streaky player. Ride a hot streak, but don't hesitate to drop/trade. Rios is showing signs of turning it around, so it might be a moot point anyway. Boggs is also borderline droppable depending on how this StL mess shakes out. Your team is very much in flux right now... I don't think Joyce is a permanent solution but he could help in the short-term.

Thanks!

Top ranked FA bats on Yahoo: Alex Avila (who I still say might be better that Soto right now because Soto can be very aggravating and his numbers are way worse at thus point), Johnny Damon, Orlando Cabrera, Brennan Boesch, Brett Wallace (to go along with Melky, Joyce and Garrett Jones - who intrigues me because of HR potential, seeing as he already has 6). BUT I think I might be better off where I'm at seeing as Rios MAY be showing some signs of life as well.

Top 5 ranked FA arms: Britton (who as we've discusses I will probably be picking up soon), Aarron Crow (who I may pick up in place of Boggs), Kevin Correia, Dustin Moseley, Chris Young (Marquis and Beachy are next).
