ROTOWORLD: Pablo Sandoval will miss 4-6 weeks with a fractured hamate bone in his right wrist. He'll undergo surgery in Arizona, likely on Tuesday. It's really unfortunate, as Kung-Fu Panda is in the middle of a bounce-back season with a .313/.374/.530 batting line with five home runs. Miguel Tejada could take over as the primary third baseman, with Mike Fontenot taking Tejada's spot at shortstop. Ryan Rohlinger has been called up from Triple-A.
When did this even happen??

I didn't know about this either

Add Zimmerman (in one of my other leagues) to the mix and it looks like I am having a wonderful fantasy season already. Very frustrating

90% of my posts are from complaining about my team

This sucks. 3rd base wasn't deep to begin with, and the waiver wire looks blah. Anyone have an idea when Ian Stewart will get called up? He's raking in the minors right now, and 3rd base for the rockies is shaky at best.

http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd ... d=18440366Hamate bone fractures are common among ballplayers. Ken Griffey Jr., Troy Tulowitzki and Dustin Pedroia are among the most recognizable players who sustained this injury. Sandoval, who obviously did his homework, cited DeRosa, Mike Fontenot and Darren Ford as teammates who hurt themselves in similar fashion.
I like the contrast of the first three players to the second group of three. Cliffs don't get much steeper than that.
It sucks when you're searching for a replacement and the foremost question is, which of these will hurt me least?
