Anyone mulling starting Dan Hudson today at home vs the Cubs?

He hasn't been that bad in his last couple of starts and the K numbers are good.

At this point I would start everyone against the cubs lineup (this coming from a bitter cubs fan). Their only run producer is A-Ram and he hasn't driven in squat yet...i'd start Hudson with confidence (NOTE: I do not own Hudson).

All things considered, I'm happy with what Hudson did today, he was rolling until a bad 7th inning and he's still in line for the win (albeit, in jeopardy at this point, come on Putz). Hudson seems to be turning it around and has really only had one really bad start this year.

9 on the year I believe..don't expect that to keep up but I ain't complaining with him in my dynasty league..

The win for Hudson and the win for Papelbon pull me into the lead in wins this week making my decision to bench Venters (also vultured a win) meaningless.

The downside with Hudson that I've mentioned before is that he is a flyball pitcher in a hitter friendly park. And so far his road starts have been against CIN, COL and now the Cubs. He'll end up with nice stats once he has had a chance to pitch at SD, LAD and SF a few times. Not great offenses and not hitter parks.

Looks like David Freese, my backup for Ryan Zimmerman may require surgery and is most certainly going on the 15 day DL with a broken hand.

Now I have to decide between the scrap heap of 3B available (Aviles, Betemit, Ryan Roberts)...

On a team with Bautista, Pujols would have to be the backup 3B.

Of course, a team with Bautista and Pujols is so far ahead in hitting cats that an owner can rotate them at 3B.

benching Drabek and Bedard earlier in the week cost me Wins.
starting Drabek and Liriano later in the week cost me ERA.

Still won 9-3, but it's somewhat unsatisfying given the mistakes I made.
