Trade Offered WHIR

Postby Urban Cohorts » Fri Apr 29, 2011 11:35 am

Yahoo H2H League, 5x5, Keeper (8 players), League utilizes CI, MI, OF spots for extra hitters.

I was offered my D Pedroia 2B + J Lowrie 2B/SS for his A Dunn 1B

What is the consensus value on Dunn this year? Will he outproduce Dustin?

I'm thinking I should decline this. Would Dustin + Lowrie for Tex be a fair deal?

I am not sure on this one, but I sure wouldnt want to lose Lowrie in a keeper league. IF he continues to produce at the rate he is now, or at the rate he did last yr, and gets the full time starting job next yr, he could be a first or second rounder which is an invaluable keeper. Pedroia is also pretty stellar at 2B, and if you can keep him and Lowrie and shore up middle IF spots your first 2 picks can be corner IF and have one of the nastiest IF in the league. Tex is a first rounder for sure, but I wouldnt pick Dunn in the first 2 rounds, so I say no to the first offer. But if you want to win this yr, have a good backup at 2B and real problems at 1B, then I would consider it.

No. That's too much for Dunn. I think that Lowrie is legit. Stay the course.

Should I give Ichiro & Marmol to get Granderson and Valverde? Please help!

I declined the trade (which I was leaning towards). Thanks for the consensus value on the players! All help appreciated! ;-D
