Who is this guy? 18k is 14IP has my attention. Anyone have a scouting report on him, or what his ceiling might be? Seems like SD has bullpen help galore.

I would like to know too, especially from a Padre's fan.
Is his stuff filthy?
What are some predictions on his stat line?

I am having a hard time deciding if he can have better numbers than.....

J. Benoit
Gregerson
Betancourt
A Crow

I need another middle reliever and hes in my considerations.

hes another in a long line of power arms, was a closer coming up thru the system. Misses bats like crazy with his fastball.

hes probably 4th in line in saves league, seems to be the 7th inn guy if Adams or Gregerson get the day off.

best case scenario he gets the 7th inning role if Bell or Adams is traded. Thatcher coming back as well.

So his ceiling is basically a middle innings guy? What does he throw other than that fastball? How fast does he throw? I'm kinda thinking he could be useful.

He's also been in my watch list along with
Eduardo Sánchez 7.0IP 1BB 12K 0.00ERA 0.43WHIP

He seems to be getting into the game regularly lately.

Look for Frieri's role to get much bigger if something happens to Bell, Gregerson, and Adams. His problem is thatche's firmly blocked but he's still a legit relief arm to monitor.

Fastball, slider, change. Fastball sits in low 90s.

his ceiling is as a light's out closer, its just that he is blocked on this squad. Bud Black used him in some leverage situations last year, and he did just fine.

yah his fastball does sit in the low 90's he usually works 91-93, but his fastball is anything but straight.

He would probably be a closer on quite a few teams, and without a doubt he would be a setup guy on most teams.
