Is Jose Tabata worth in owning in a HTH Points League?

Postby lefthandedforlife » Wed Apr 27, 2011 1:21 pm

I read something the other day that was talking about Jose Tabata and how he is undervalued in points leagues. What do you guys think?

Also, should I drop any of my pitchers for Ian Kennedy? He's playing for a losing team but still enticing. NOTE: I can only have 6 SP & 3 RP so I'd have to drop a SP.

I currently roster him in my 10-team points leauge below:

[10 Team Points (not h2h or roto) League:
[Batters: 1B=1, 2B=2, 3B=3, HR=4, R=1, RBI=1, SB=2, CS=-1, BB=1, K=-1, E=-1]
[Pitchers: IP=3, W=10, L=-5, S=8, BS=-5, K=1, BB=-1, H=-1, HR=-1, ER=-1)

C: Miguel Montero
1B: Albert Pujols
2B: Martin Prado
3B: Aramis Ramirez
SS: Jimmy Rollins
OF: Ryan Braun
OF: Colby Rasmus
OF: Jayson Heyward
Util: Mark Teixeira
Util: Jose Tabata
B- Shin-Soo Choo (OF)
B- Asdrubal Cabrera (OF)
DL- Domonic Brown (OF)

SP- Tim Lincecum
SP- Cole Hamels
RP- Jose Valverde
RP- Fransisco Rodriguez
P- Joel Hanrahan
P- Mitchell Boggs
P- Jordan Walden
P- Kyle Farnsworth

B-Max Scherzer
B-Ryan Madson
B-Brandon League
B-Sergio Santos
DL- Johan Santana
DL- Johnny Cueto]

SO basically, yes, he has been great. But he is on a downward trend recently. In my format, if you can get 3ppg from each position for the season, you're in line to be a champion. 3ppg is essentially what you shoot for. Currently Tabata is at 3.2ppg, so he's been a solid option for me. Keep riding it unless this current slump drags out over a long period of time.
