Would you trade Schmidt for Prior?

Postby bunbury » Mon Mar 29, 2004 1:39 am

all this talk about the off season surgery to Schmidt has gotten me nervous. Should I chance it and offer Schmidt for Prior? I have a feeling that the Prior's manager in my league may want to deal due to the latest developments. This is my list of pitchers:

SP J. Schmidt (SF - SP)
SP J. Moyer (Sea - SP)
RP E. Guardado (Sea - RP)
RP J. Herges (SF- RP)
P F. Rodríguez (SF - RP)
P F. García (Sea - SP)
BN A. Leiter (NYM - SP)

Thanks!

Yes, YES , OH GOD YES! I think Schmidt will do terrible with elbow surgery and no offense (well, except Bonds), so I say of course.

Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

If he accepts it, then he is crazier than the actual offer.

If the Prior owner is actually willing to consider dealing him because of injury concerns, why in the world would he trade him for another pitcher with injury concerns? That makes no sense whatsoever.
"I'm telling ya, he jumped us. Gloves off, stick down, no warning. He challenged the Chiefs. Called us names. But Dave was there."

"Dave's a killer."

"Yeah, Dave's a killer."

"Dave's a mess."

Not in a heartbeat! In a nano second. Prior may be the best pitcher in baseball
