I was offered Carpenter for Utley and Chacin. Utley can be kept one more year after this year. Max Scherzer and Tim hudson are my two best starters. i also have Harang, AJ Burnett and Ogando. I have three closers and have put in to drop Nova for Santos

Don't like it. Chacin for Carpenter straight up is closer to fair.

I would not do this. If you're getting such a low value on Utley then just keep him.

You guys are awesome and exactly right. I would be selling low on Utley. What would be a good match in your eyes?

I would hold onto Utley. You'll never get close to the value that he could bring your team if he comes back in the next month. You're looking at trading potential 1st round value at a scarce position for peanuts. Wait until late May and pray his recovery goes well!
