Matsui went 0-for-4 and is really struggling at the plate as his average is down to .175. He has said that it's taking him a while to adjust to the darting, exploding fastballs as well as the cut fastballs, which are not used in Japan. Look for him to have an adjustment period similar to what Hideki Matsui went through early last year.
Above was written a day after he took time off for fatigue (it's SPRING TRAINING!)

i picked him up with the 24th pick today- that suggests everyone else is worried about him. i picked him up for insurance for arod.

I don't understand why theres hype at all. he needs to adjust to pitching. i don't think he'll have a great year at all.

i had Jeter but I traded him w/ Piazza, so I have to start Kazu for now. Should I get Eckstein (He's on the WW) and start him until Kazuo "adjusts" to the major league? Personally I think he'll find his way, looking at Ichiro and Hideki (Kazuo was a stud in Japan just like they were).
