Kimbrel for Bruce Trade

Last week I accepted an offer of Jay Bruce for Craig Kimbrel but not before I picked up Mitchell Boggs. I thought I won this trade pretty easily considering the other guy could have have picked up Boggs off waivers. However, some of the owners think Bruce is overrated but I think you can grab closers throughout the year ala Madson.

Anyway its a 7X7 H2H league with Hitting: R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OPS, Net SB & Pitching: W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP, QS, and Net SV. Just looking for some outside opinions on the trade.

I think youre completely right. Saves are easy come easy go. Kimbrel is a stud yes but it makes sense when you factor in grabbing Boggs. Santos is someone you should look into as well if available.

Yeah I definitely think you did fine there. If you're attentive on the WW you can definitely make up for the SVs you lose from Kimbrel

I've got Kimbrel on one of my teams and love the Ks and saves he's giving me, but if someone offered me Bruce for him, I'd take that deal in a heartbeat.

Side note: in that particular league, no one could offer me Bruce for him since I own them both!

Thanks for the help guys. I felt it was a great deal for me but its good to hear some confirmation on that. I think the other manager was high on Kimbrel based on his numbers in the minors which played a factor into getting that kind of offer.
