Kurt Suzuki has been terrible and so has Bumgarner. Getting Martin would help my consistency at catcher. Thoughts?

Russel Martin hasnt had a good season in quite awhile....there has to be better catcher options on the WW for you....and if not now -- there will be.
I would not trade bumgarner for him....id wait him out a bit and not panic just yet for a guy like martin

I would take it. Russel Martin is catching almost everyday and hitting in a sick Yankees lineup. Right now he is hitting the shit out of the ball and seems to be back on track. Russel Martin in my H2H points league has the most points at catcher right now. I actually just dropped Bumgarner in that same league.

Only reason i would think twice is if you intend to hold on to Bumgarner in the future he does have plenty of potential, for this year only though i would do it for sure.

I can only keep 6 players year to year, so I doubt Madison makes the cut.

I would go ahead and take the trade you have pretty good starting pitching without bumgarner and Martin will provide you a boost at Catcher. The only thing you need to watch is Posada and Martin's health or if one of them starts struggling because the Yankees have a good catching prospect named J Montero., but with the way way Posada and Martin are hitting currently I would not worry about that too much.

I would take it. Martin seems to be back to his old form and the Yankee lineup can't help but to help him overall. He is catching every day and looks great. Pull the trigger as you don't need Bumgarner as much as you do Martin.

Yeah I'd take it; I think your pitching can easily handle losing Bumgarner, and Martin's playing great.

Thanks guys. Any compliments mean a lot ... I am currently in 11th place with a record of 14-38-2 so I hope my luck changes soon.

It sounds like the deal for Martin is a good idea. Would I dump Suzuki if I do it or hang onto Suzuki for the days Martin has off/if Martin falls off offensively?

Not a Bumgarner fan, but he's not as bad as he looks. I consider him a 4 era SP.
Martin has really surprised me. But in that lineup and park, i would gamble Martin.
If you really like Bumgarner, then Suzuki.
What FA C are out there should you need one if Suzuki gets picked up?
