DL situation...help needed...WHIR

Postby CubsFan4Life23 » Mon Apr 25, 2011 10:57 am

I am in a 12 team H2H 5x5 league...We are allowed 2 DL spots, but as of now I have three guys on the DL...

A. Hill, R Zimmerman and J Peavy are the unlucky 3...which one should I dump (Peavy or Hill)?

Who are the best three of the following that I should consider picking up?

Hitters Avail: I Desmond, M Moreland, F Freeman, R Theriot, R Rayburn, J Damon
Pitching Available: J Lackey, Big Z, Carmona, Dice K, T Clippard, S Santos, B Norris, J Venters

My Team:
C Ruiz / M Cabrera / M Prado / T Tulowitzki / A Gordon / S Choo / J Upton / C Rasmus / L Berkman
A Hill DL / R Zimmerman DL

M Cain / T Hanson / I Kennedy / A Ogando / A Harang / D Hudson / J Masterson / D Oliver / D Storen / M Garza / J Danks
J Peavy DL

Thanks guys for the help!!

Hey man...thanks for the help...You think Peavy will be more valuable than Hill this season? Also, I picked up Oliver since Feliz is on DL...do you think he gets most of the save chances?

dump Peavy. his arm is no where near what it once was when he played in SD. he might throw together a game or two every month, but he'll be on and off the DL all season, u wont know how to judge him. he's a "pitch well on ur bench or horrible in ur lineup" kind of player with a name everyone knows. those are the type of players i like to dump onto the waiver wire and let someone else try to figure them out. i think u need some pitching help, and i think Lackey is the best of the bunch

First I would drop Peavy. Hill and Zimmerman will be better production wise then Peavy. As far as who to pickup I would go with Ian Desmond seeing as you already Cabrera and Berkman you don't really need another 1B even though Morehead and Freeman (if he has turned it around) are also good.
