I was offered Matt Kemp for my Chris Young, Maicier Izturis and Tim Hudson. Is this a good deal for me? My first reaction was yes, especially because I need help with HRs and RBIs BUT my ERA is literally over 5 on the season (I HAD Lackey and Pavano, and currently have Dempster and Zambrano) so I feel like losing Hudson is huge for me. I'm not worried about Izturis, he was a fill in for Phillips in case he went on the DL, and this kid literally has NO 2B (he never picked one up after Nishioka went on the DL, and he has Utley too) And I love Chris Young's potential but he's very streaky and is a major liability when it comes to average. So I think its solid but I don't want to pull the trigger without getting a couple opinions first, so please, all the help will be much apppreciated!! Drop your link and I promise everything will be returned, thanks!!

You obviously get the best player in the deal, in Kemp. I see him as having a stellar year. It hurts a little to lose Hudson, but you have a pretty solid staff and should stay competitive, despite your ERA situation up until this point. There are probably some nice options on the wire to add to your staff.
Easy accept IMO. Izturis is a player who can be found on the WW. Hudson helps your ratios but isn't a complete package as he doesn't K many. I surely don't expect him to duplicate his ERA of last year either. Make the trade and work the wire for hot pitchers.
Hal·la·day, n. 1. every fifth day in Philadelphia. 2. a day of rest for the bullpen. 3. innings eater. 4. doc. 5. ace.
Absolutely! Hudson is NOT a great pitcher by any means. Look at his pathetic K/9 ration. Turner field is the only thing that keeps him being a viable fantasy option. there are most likely alot better pitchers on the free agent list that you can pick up. Izturis is easily dispensable. Young and Kemp have the potential to put up the same numbers, but they won't. Young has yet to steal a base, and batting in the middle of the lineup, it's likely he won't have as many SB's as he has had in previous season - On the other hand Kemp has already stolen like 8 bases or something. They are both strikeout machines, but Young is way more of a strike out machine. The only upside with Young is that he plays mostly at chase field while Kemp plays at dodger stadium. if the two were reversed in the teasm they play for, Kemp would annihilate Young's numbers. Take the trade, I'd do it in a heartbeat
I would recommend you to do the trade before the other guy changes his mind. Chris Young is inconsistent and you never know what to expect from him. Replacing him with Kemp is a huge boost. About Hudson, he can be replaced simply by streaming pitchers.
