Is this trade vetoable?? WHIR

Postby wingman3110 » Sun Apr 24, 2011 10:32 pm

Looking at pure value and for the rest of the season is this following trade vetoable or should I let it go thru?

Team A gets: Joe Mauer, Chase Utley, CJ Wilson, Jonathan Sanchez, and Matt Capps

Team B gets: Dan Haren, Mike Napoli, Michael Cuddyer (now 2B elig.), Dexter Fowler, and Alexi Ogando

Plus a little side not here...Team B also has Hamilton, Feliz, and Rolen to go along with Mauer and Utley who all are on the DL. Let me know what you guys think. Leave a link and I will help you ;-D

First off, i think that every trade should be allowed unless there is evidenced of collusion- people are allowed to make bad decisions; they may see it a different. The veto privledge should only be envoked if there is strong evidence of roster loading or other cheating. With that being said, I think the deal is pretty fair. Side A gets more talent overall, but has two huge question marks in Utley and Mauer's health, Capps may recind his job to Nathan again over time, while team B gets the #1 player in fantasy right now in Dan Haren. I wold not veto this given the information. Hope my opinion helps...

I have to agree with first response. I would very seldom step in a veto another trade because it looks unfair, especially at this point in the season. Nobody is tossing in the towel yet. Even if a team is making a move that you are sure will doom his team its his fault. So unless the integrity of the league is in question i just call him an idiot and let it go through.

Yeah you guys would not believe all the *itching and complaining going on about this trade. I guess they fail to see the one manager is sick of having 5 guys DL'd with only 2 DL spots, and is actually attempting to make his team better.

I ran into a similar issue in my league. I tried to trade Rasmus for Crawford last week, the other owner agreed but the Commish vetoed the trade. I agree with the other posters that trades shouldn't be vetoed just because they are deemed "unfair". How is somebody supposed to buy low or sell high?

Not even close to vetoable. It's even debatable who got the better end of the deal.

Thats what I'm trying to get them to see. Who knows what'll happen with Mauer/Utley...

I agree with what everyone else has said above. You should not veto any trade unless you know someone is intentionally messing up their team. And if there is a vetoable trade, the league should vote. I personally think this trade is dumb and even.

Bad trades happen in real life..... Commissioner protects against cheating. If there is no evidence, you let it go.

Good luck. There is definietely a winner int his trade though.

Help me.
