Need Some Thump: Deal Crawford or Ellsbury? WHIR

Postby sigriffey » Sun Apr 24, 2011 9:59 pm

I made some big trades that cost me some power (konerko, bruce) but lined up some pretty dominant SP. Now I need some power/rbis ... this one team in our league appears stacked in that department. Should I deal Crawford, Ellsbury or Tabata for one of his power bats, and if so, who? Leave a link and I will help in return.

How many years have you kept Crawford? I actually like your team a lot, and think once Crawford gets hot (1 HR tonight) that power is not going to be a concern. If you could steal some power with Ellsbury, I would, but I don't think I would sell low on Crawford right now. I honestly don't see any trades that I think he would accept right now though. Thanks for your help.

I agree wholeheartedly. Stand pat with what you have.

Be patient and use some smart pickups down the road.

Crawford is in his contract year. Ellsbury can be kept thru the end of the 2013 season.

Oh, I see....lol.

I honestly don't see anything on the other person's team worth grabbing for Crawford.

The only people I see maybe worth grabbing are Werth, Batista and Ortiz. Personally, I'd grab Ortiz because I own him and he is seeing the ball really well this year. I also own Werth, so if you have the patience, then go for Werth. Maybe a 2-for-2?

Would it be worth it to deal Crawford for Wright? I know he needs R and SB and previously had Wright on the block. I could also keep Wright. Not sure if he will remember that Crawford is in a contract year either...
