10 team mixed 5x5 I've been offered Rios and T. Hanson for my J. Upton. He needs some power and is offering his two guys with the slowest starts. I could use ERA and WHIP help and am relatively weak in HR myself.
Here is his roster, what should my counter be?
C A.J. Pierzynski (CWS - C) 1B Pablo Sandoval (SF - 1B,3B) 2B Robinson Canó (NYY - 2B) 3B Álex Rodríguez (NYY - 3B) SS Starlin Castro (ChC - SS) OF Jonny Gomes (Cin - OF) OF Michael Bourn (Hou - OF) OF Matt Holliday (StL - OF) Util Mike Stanton (Fla - OF) Util Álex Ríos (CWS - OF) BN David Ortiz (Bos - Util) BN Juan Pierre (CWS - OF)
DL Víctor Martínez, Logan Morrison
SP CC Sabathia, Tommy Hanson, Dan Haren, Jhoulys Chacin, Francisco Liriano RP Chris Pérez, Leo Núñez, Mitchell Boggs, Fernando Rodney, Joel Hanrahan
Its hard to see what you need without your roster. Im not a huge fan of Hanson. He tends to be up and down. When he's good, he's really good, and when he's bad, he's really bad. Great for K's though. A "good" Rios, and a "good" Hanson is just barely worth enough for Upton, IMO. So a slumping Rios and Hanson, no way. Especially Rios. He looks totally lost. I can see revision of 2009 for him, when he was horrible
Thanks for the reply. Glad to hear I was thinking along the right lines so far. This is my first year playing and I made some pretty big mistakes on draft day. Here is my roster:
