Is he for real or should i sell high on him for Tommy Hanson in my H2H points dynasty league. Position need isnt really too important, but my 3b are Youk and Sandovl and my starting OF are Cruz, Heyward, Kemp, Victorino. Having top line pitching is pretty valuable in this league.
I've watched almost every Royals game this year and Gordon is legit. He shortened his swing, so his power will go down slightly, but AVG, RBI's, Runs and SB will go up. I'd predict a .295/80/18/80/13 season.
With that said, with the players you named at 3b and OF, I would take Tommy Hanson.
If it is a non-keeper, I'd def make that trade. I wouldn't do the trade, but I'm in a keeper league, and if Gordon turns into something, I can keep him as my last round pick. If we're only talking this year, trading Gordon high makes sense, and I'd certainty be willing to trade him for Hanson.
Gordon is great, but even if he does keep this up, he still isn't going to produce the power numbers you're looking for in an elite fantasy outfielder. That being said, he's definitely a viable option as a 3rd Outfielder or the Utility position. Now comparing a player of that value to a Tommy Hanson, who isn't quite an elite SP, but still a top tier guy, I don't believe there's much of an argument. I would click "accept" as soon as I saw this one. I have both of these guys and love having both on my squad, but if we're looking at worth and having to pick just one, Hanson is the obvious choice, whether it be keeper, non-keeper, etc.
