Six Player Dynasty Deal - WHIR

Postby avsfan4ever33 » Sat Apr 23, 2011 1:31 pm

I've been going back and forth with another owner about a deal for Cano. The deal has expanded a bit to include a few other players, and I'm on the verge of accepting. This is an 18 team H2H dynasty league with standard 5x5 scoring.

I'd receive: Mark Teixeira, Ryan Zimmerman, Brandon Phillips
I'd deal: Robinson Cano, Ubaldo Jimenez, Ryan Roberts

My current team:
C - Montero
1B - Derrek Lee
2B - Cano
3B - Mike Young
SS - Izturis
OF - Braun, Abreu, Fowler
UTIL - Napoli
BN - Peralta, Helton, Roberts
DL - Hammy, Furcal, Gutierrez

SP - Ubaldo, Cahill, Chacin, Kuroda, Pavano, Bedard, C Young, Garland
RP - Broxton, Nathan, Jenks, Benoit, Rodney

Now, I know this will hurt my (already poor) pitching staff, but I think the upgrade to my offense would be worth it. But what does the Cafe say? Leave a link and I'll be happy to return the favor.

I like the upgrade at offense but I agree that your pitching will be really hurt. I think I am fine with this deal but you have to watch the WW to get some decent starters.

The free agent pool is really thin in this league, but I'll be keeping my eyes open for any potential SPs I can nab. And by acquiring Zimmerman, Mike Young becomes expendable, so I'll likely add him to the block (I've been trying to deal one of Montero and Napoli all season, but no takers) and try and get a SP in return.

I actually think I would take this deal. You may not have any aces outside Ubaldo, but I am a big fan of Cahill/Chacin/Kuroda/Zimmermann and I think they all will produce as #2-#4 starters. This trade really makes your hitting outstanding for a 18-team league. In a league that deep, if you keep trying I'm sure you will be able to swing Montero/Napoli/Young for a pitcher. I like it ;-D
