I know, I know. Definitely not the biggest news of the day, but as a Pirates fan and a Wood owner several times over the past couple years, it would be nice if a change of scenery could make a difference. Sounds like he'll get plenty of playing time.

I bet Wood likes this move too. Now he can clam the 'strikeout king' title outright in the NL, rather than fight Mark Reynolds for it. This guy makes a great argument for a 'AAAA' league.

That's the Japanese League, where guys like Tuffy Rhodes and Orestes Destrade were superstars.
