I like it. You can afford to lose Bruce, Tex replaces Car-Go (you might miss the steals a little), but getting Josh Johnson is big... guy looks like a Cy Young contender to me. He immediately becomes your best pitcher.

Yeah, should take the trade. Josh Johnson will defintely help and Teix can replace Cargo's stats (except speed).

Absolutely. For the price of some speed, you get great power/rbis back and a dominant ace, which is very hard to pry away most of the time.

He has counter offered with Cole Hamels instead of Josh Johnson.

Close, but I'd pass. Your pitching staff isn't crazy good but it'll work, and you don't want to trade away your stellar hitting for less than an ace.

While it's a lot to give up, your pitching staff definitely needs an ace, so I agree it's a good deal. Figure it's basically CarGo for Teix, which is fair, and Bruce for Johnson, which is in your favor. Gotta figure that Mike Stanton will start hitting at some point, so you end up with a Jay Bruce-type anyway.

I'd make the move for Johnson, but not HAmels. Johsnons is a stud, and Teix makes up for Cargo. Hamels is good, but not consistent enough to give up a player like Cargo. Your staff needs an ace, which Johnson would fill.
