In a league that big with no keeper limits, I definitely thanks Sands is worth a shot.

I'd drop Meek without hesitation. He's been very shaky this year and it's pretty clear that Hurdle doesn't have a ton of confidence in him. He's already used Hanrahan for multiple 4+ out saves when Meek couldn't get out of the 8th. Barring injury/trade, I don't see Meek getting a sniff of the closer role this year.

I would give him a shot. Meek isn't all that great right now and you would kick yourself if Sands just dominates. You probably can get Meek back if Sands never gets it going.

I agree Meek is the odd man out.
Hard to say if you should use it now though.
Do any decent guys ever get cut in your league?
Sands is nice, but i might wait for Eric Hosmer.

Yeah drop Meek for Sands. Meek hasn't done anything this year to warrant a continued roster spot. Go with Sands, and if he falls apart Meek will most likely still be there for you to pick up.

thanks for the advice...I am going to see if Sands is available tomorrow morning and then drop meek for him...but I think I will use my waiver pick up for Howser...Its a once a year pick up card and a 4 out of 18 I want to use it on a more certain prospect...but i will try to get him without using it

Sands is a strong and smart pickup in any keeper league. Standard redraft leagues, he's nothing more than a speculation pickup at this point. My two cents anyway.
