Who are the other starting pitchers available?
The reason I ask is I'm not sure it's right to believe in Lohse right now. Why?
- His current opposing BABIP is .246, completely unsustainable, especially considering his career number is .305. - He's walking batters at an obscenely great ratio of 0.81 (Career, 2.75)
In the end, Lohse is what he is. He will win between 6 and 12 games with an ERA between 4.25 and 4.75...in other words, completely mediocre in real baseball and basically useless in fantasy baseball. If you already had Lohse, I'd suggest to take advantage of his hot streak and strike a deal while his value is peaking.
Hope that helps; good luck! Signed, The Fantasy Baseball King

If you aren't picking him up to use while he is hot...you're not very smart. You should have grabbed him weeks ago. For those that are arguing against it, well it's all just a bunch of numbers you are spouting...otherwise there is no reason not to go with it.
if you have a DL spot I would definitely pick up Beachy and put him in it, he looks like a very promising pitcher. But match-ups really determine what other pitcher you should get on your team, and you could just leave a spot open on your bench for the pitcher with the best match-up that week. A very good strategy to help win majority of the pitching categories.
