Which Sizemore trade would you do? WHIR!!!

Postby Cypher74 » Tue Apr 19, 2011 2:16 pm

Yahoo H2H Points League with No IP limit.

My offense has gotten off to a good start, despite little from Pujols/Hanley. Was planning to capitalize on Grady's hot start and get an arm or two.

My team -

C - Suzuki
1B - Pujols
2B - Kendrick
SS - H. Ramirez
3B - A. Gordon
OF - Victorino, Rasmus, Ellsbury
UTIL - D. Ortiz, C. Young, B. Zobrist
BENCH - G. Sizemore

SP - Lester, Gallardo, Gio Gonazalez, Dempster, Pavano, Hellickson, Ogando, Coke
RP - C. Perez, K. Farnsworth, J. Rauch

Which would you do:

1. Trade Grady/Rauch for Storen/Laporta
2. Trade Grady for Andrew Bailey
3. Trade Grady/Ogando for Bailey/T. Hudson
4. Keep Grady

Right now I would hold onto Grady. None of the offers you listed jump off the page at me and the kind of player he is/could be you need a slammer of a deal to make it worthwhile. Shoot higher in the trades or just enjoy the production from Grady.

I don't like any of those trades. Sizemore is a major injury risk, but he was also one of the best outfielders in baseball from 05-08. He is in the prime of his career now and if he can stay healthy he will be an excellent contributor. I would ask alot more than you are right now if you want to trade him.

I'd go for Bailey if you can get him, esp. if you have a DL spot. Your relief staff needs a dependable closer.

I'd hold off on these and try to grab a more valuable starter. I agree with the notion to sell high on Sizemore, but you can sell higher in my opinion. good luck.

I'd hold off for now. While Sizemore is definitely an injury risk, his upside is also FAR greater than any package you've listed. I feel like you're ready to pay for saves. Doing that with a guy who was fantasy's golden boy three years ago is a poor decision IMO.
