Hell and No... Lester is a top 5 ace. Bautista still has a lot to prove and Headley ain't bad at all. Keep Lester... the only way I deal him is if I'm getting back a pitcher who's name rhymes with Moy Talladay.

I would pull the trigger on this trade.

For one, I think good hitting is far harder to come by than is good pitching. The gap between Headly and Bautista is FAR larger than is the gap between Lester and Danks. Danks is only 26 years old and may be on the verge of becoming good to very good. Bautista is fully capable of hitting 35+ home runs again this year and I don't think it's out of the question he hits 40. With that being said, what do you reasonable expect out of Headley?

Would it surprise you if Danks finished with a 3.30 ERA and 165 SOs? It wouldn't surprise me. I'll take 25 more HR's than 60 more SO's any day of the week.

keep lester. he is the one with elite talent in this trade. Danks is a al pitcher and baustia could be gone in 2 years. in a dynasty league lester is the prize. i would only do this in a redraft league.

I actually would pull the trigger here. You still will have Kershaw and Lincecum (2 bonafide NL aces), and I think your hitting could use the boost. Danks is a more than servicable pitcher, and Headley won't ever put up very useful numbers playing in PETCO. When Longoria returns, with the addition of Bautista your lineup will be one of the best in a league that deep.

i agree with hell and no. Lester a top ace who will start getting alot of wins when boston starts hitting. while bautista is good the ceiling will fall .he will bat .200 one month at least in order to drop his average to a career high .260 ...keep lester

Keep Lester. Until Bautista gets a little better with the AVG, he'll be like Adam Dunn.
