In a pickle! What to do with J. Nathan and F. Francisco?

Postby lefthandedforlife » Mon Apr 18, 2011 5:41 pm

The news is out. Nathan is no longer closing and it probably worth dropping. Frank Francisco is about to come off the DL. I've been told all sorts of things and I don't know what to do myself. Part of me wants to drop them both and pick up someone else but I can't bring myself to dropping talent like Joe Nathan.

NOTE: I do not have a bench for pitchers. It is a custom league. 6 SP 3 RP all playing everyday.

As much as I think Nathan will get the closer role back, I think I'd go ahead and drop him for now since you have no pitcher bench.

While I agree with the above, keep in mind that they haven't promised Francisco the job right out of the gate and Rauch has shown he's perfectly capable. I think Nathan is the one to drop, unless you can entice someone into a trade for one of your RP's.
