Just offered to me last night.
i give: Billy Butler and Dan Haren.
i receive: Prince Fielder, Evan Longoria, and Hiroki Kuroda.
Lineup Before trade:
Montero - C
Butler - 1B
Cano - 2B
A Ramirez - SS
Zimmerman - 3B
Kemp - OF
Berkman - OF
Stanton - OF
Bruce - DH
Ka' Aihue - B
Scott - B
Rolen - B
Verlander - SP
Haren
Gallardo
AJ Burnett
S Baker
J Chacin- RP
J Masterson - RP
A Sanchez - B
G Floyd - B
J Lackey - B
JJ Putz - B
I am 2-0 in a 12 team heads up mixed KEEPER league.
My thoughts: Obviously Dan Haren's stock cannot rise anymore than it already is. this is a keeper league (which also allows the trading of rights up until when keepers are submitted a week before the draft next season) and this trade would give me a fingerlock on a remotely thin position at 3B, with the two youngest tier 1 players at the position and provide me w a great trading chip moving forward, either in season or following the season. Butler vs Fielder, butler is more consistent and doesnt strike out as much, but when the playoffs come around in Sept, Fielder tears the cover off the ball.
should i pull the trigger?
Fielder, Cano, Zimmerman, Longoria, and Kemp.... can anyone give me a reason not to?
