but for Bruins fans to be complaining about this and dismiss what Chara did to Pacioretti and what Ference did to Moen is just stupid. If you think that this is bad then you think that Ference is dirty too.
Chara's hit was legal against the boards and if not for the stupid French design with the partition in the middle Pax would have been fine. I don't remember the Ference hit, is that the punch to the face that sent Moen down @ 0:27
here?
Comparing Chara to Rome is like comparing curling to ice hockey. Horton was on open ice, he didn't have the puck, he had his head down, Rome aimed for the head and left his feet.
It was Ference headhunting against
Jeff Halpern.
I'm not saying that the Rome hit was clean, it was dirty and he should get suspended. All I'm asking is for a little perspective. You can't scream bloody murder and then dismiss everything that your team does. You excuse the Ference and Chara hits. I guess that you find nothing wrong with
Lucic creaming Spacek into the boards from behind either? Guess what, the Rome hit is a carbon copy of a
Dan Paille hit from February. But that's all right with you.
It's just annoying that Bruin fans complain about LaPierre and Burrows when you've got even worse in Marchand (funny that they're all francos) and you have the cheap shot artists like Ference and Lucic running around.
On top of all that Julien criticizes Lapierre for taunting and says that his team is above that and taunting "wouldn't be acceptable on our end". Meanwhile the meatheads on this team go out and at every opportunity shove their fingers in the Canucks' faces. Julien's a good guy and he must hate the lack of discipline out there. What else can you expect from a team that gives the finger to an entire arena of fans. No class Bruins.
