Sizemore off the DL

Sizemore is currently playing against the Orioles. He is batting lead of and is 0 for 1. I started him instead of Hundley today.

I started him over Logan Morrison. Great choice. He's 2-3 with a solo HR, and a double. Sizemore is looking good folks! Glad I snagged him late. Here's to him staying healthy and getting back to being an All-Star!!

He won't be playing every day at first, and I doubt he got better at hitting lefties when he was going through the lengthy recovery process, so temper those expectations a little bit - first thing I thought when I saw that HR was, 'oh great, here comes the unrealistic expectation train on Sizemore'. He's certainly worth owning and playing the matchups, and don't get me wrong here because I'm one of the biggest Sizemore fan boys around these parts, but don't go getting too excited about All-Star appearances and the concurrent numbers just yet

I could have been more clear with what I said. I certainly don't see him as an all-star this year. It took Amare Stoudemire about 2 years before his knee was full strength from having microfracture surgery. I have tempered expectations, but we all know what this guy is capable of and obviously we'd all rather see it sooner than later. After back-to-back games hitting 5-9, 3 XBH, 1 HR, I'd say so far so good.
