Keeper League Question

Postby Hogger1 » Sat Apr 16, 2011 12:27 pm

I know it's probably too early to make moves that would basically torpedo this season in order to improve keepers, but I took over a team with weak keepers and am basically considering doing just that. Josh Hamilton is available and I'm pretty sure I can get him for Rios and Liriano. Might have to sweeten in slightly by giving him a little upgrade at closer, but I have 3 decent closers right now and don't really mind that part of it. Is it worth making a move like this in order to get a top slugger even though he's out a couple months? It probably involves playing someone like Span from my bench, plus I have decent SP depth and Ubaldo coming back on Tuesday.

Kind of depends on how many keepers you get as both Liriano and Rios would be kept as top 100 guys once Liri gets it going. But if you've got similiar options for keepers and want a better overall keeper this trade is fine to do.

It depends on how many guys you can keep, and if you intend to compete this season.

post your lineup and how many keepers you get - also how do the keeper rules work? I.e. kept where they were drafted, totally separate, auction pricing for x years, etc...
