My Tulo for his Hanley?

Postby WSU Tony » Fri Apr 15, 2011 5:55 pm

I'm really struggling in SB and have a TON of excess power. Do I dare think about trading my Tulo at this point for Hanley? Could I get away with asking for Hanley+ since Tulo has been on fire so far this year?

Again, this is a 10 team 5X5 ESPN league.

C: Ianetta
1b: Fielder
1b: Pena
2b: Uggla
3b: Reynolds
SS: Tulo
OF: Stubbs
OF: Swisher
OF: Gardner
OF: Beltran

Bench: Sizemore
Bench: N. Morgan
Bench: Encarnocion
Bench: Wigginton
Bench: D. Jennings

SP: Felix
SP: Verlander
SP: Carpenter
SP: Hammels
SP: Liriano

(Good enough pitching staff?)

SP: Yousli (some asian guy in his 2nd season)
SP: Edwin Jackson

4 RP closers - can't remember their names

You see my SB issues at this point, don't you? Tulo for Hanley? Tulo for Hanley+?

See if Sam Fuld is available for pickup in your league. His speed is reallly good and he has already had a 3 steal game this season. I know Jennings may be a stud in the future but I would consider letting him or Encarnacion go if you can pick up Fuld who already has 7 steals. As far as the trade goes I would stick with Tulo as I think he is the best SS in the league. Look for options on waivers if you can.

Make the deal if you can. Hot start or not, I'd still rather have Hanley. Not sure if you're going to get him to ship you Hanley plus much more.

Hal·la·day, n. 1. every fifth day in Philadelphia. 2. a day of rest for the bullpen. 3. innings eater. 4. doc. 5. ace.

I like the idea of looking for Fuld on the WW.
other recomendation would to see if you deal Uggla for a speedier 2bmen. not trading tulo for HanRam at this point.

I would definitely drop encarnacion for fuld. I really think he'll have a great year for the Rays. And given his high rate of SB so far, he's the strongest threat right now. If he cools, you can drop him for a different one.

As for Tulo for Hanley, I'd keep Tulo. Everyone has different opinions, but I think Tulo honestly has a shot at being the batting champ. His production versus Hanley's speed would not be a good trade 1 to 1, and I doubt you could pull HanRam + for Tulo.
