Bumgarner struggling, drop him for_____? WHIR!

Dempster? Dempster is a proven K guy, Bumgarner, though a trendy sleeper this year, had a sh*t spring which has carried over to season. This is a keeper league but still, Bumgarner isn't even looking like a viable keeper right now.

Leave a link, WHIR ASAP ;-D

I would drop Bumgarner for Dempster, but its not because of a couple lousy games (Dempster has also had a couple lousy games). I think Dempster is a better pitcher, can get around the same ERA that a full season will give Bumgarner, will get more K, more IP and most importantly, IMO is more likely to finish the yr pitching strong than a pitcher in his first full season. That being said, I would wait a couple weeks before dropping him

Not sure how long Dempster will last on waivers, and would need to drop Bum ASAP, but agree -- he's the better P overall.

Depends on what the rest of your staff looks like but Bumgarner is NOT what everyone expected and may not be for another season or two. Grab the seasoned vet in Dempster.

If Dempster is on WW, and will be picked up soon, and you believe HE IS THE BETTER P, you have answered your own question. Pick him up and drop the Bum

Rest of staff is Kershaw, Danks, Sanchez, Pineda, Britton. RPs: Axford, Perez, Burnett, Farnsworth.

I would drop Danks for Dempster any day of the week too, hes basically the same pitcher with less strikeouts. I mean, statistically they were pretty much exactly the same last yr except Dempster had 40 more K. If you would drop Bumgarner for Danks, wouldnt you do it for a better fantasy contributor

Pick up Demptster. He will settle down and be solid the rest of the year.

Danks > Bumgarner IMO. I dropped Bum for Dempster. Staff is now Kershaw, Sanchez, Danks, Dempster, Pineda, Britton. Not the 90's Maddux/Glavine/Smoltz/Avery Braves, but I'll take it.
