Pineda is on WW and everyone is real excited about him. I think he has done great in 2 starts against good teams, but he is a rookie and ups come with downs, I dont expect him to be consistent all yr. Is he really all that amazing? What is everyone seeing that isnt really being hyped up all that much. Do I have room? I am not dropping Lilly yet, I honestly think things are going to get better. I like Britton more at this point, and think hes probably due for better consistency down the road. Dissenting opinions are welcome, Id like to know what the big deal is with this guy and if I should pick him up.

OK I understand why people want Pineda over Britton, mainly because of opponents.
13.2IP 2W 8K 0.66ERA 0.95WHIP Tampa/Texas
13.1IP 1W 11K 2.70ERA 0.97WHIP Toronto/Texas
Those are Britton and Pineda's numbers thus far, and honestly I dont see much of a difference for rookies, both had great first 2 starts (their ONLY starts in the majors).
But Dempster and Lilly?!? Dempster put up 15W, 208K in 216IP with an ERA under 4. How do you honestly justify dropping that for a pitcher with 2 starts in his entire career, albeit good starts. Yes Dempster has had a couple bad starts this yr, but its WAY to early to go dumping mid to upper tier pitching for rookies after 2 weeks of baseball.

Britton & Pineda both seem to be young up & coming studs! Two key thoughts, Pineda will have more trouble getting wins compared to Britton. 2. Britton is inducing groundballs at an incredible rate so Pineda will prob have the higher K/9 depending upon what you are looking for? Not an expert but different styles. Pineda has been clocked around 99 from what I have read.
I have em both on my roster and they have given me 4 good starts thus far
