5x5 roto league with standard scoring. I am solid on offense all around and start Weeks at 2b. Johnson is currently my utility. I could really use some pitching help and was thinking of buying low on Liriano by offering Johnson. I have plenty on my bench to fill in at the utility spot so I won't lose much on offense (unless Weeks gets hurt for a long time).
Is Johnson too much for Liriano? I really think Liriano will bounce back, but is Johnson too much to offer? I don't have much else to offer that he would be willing to take.
Thanks guys.

DO THIS. Kelly Johnson is consistent, he willl hit 1 out of every 4 and put up decent #s for most of the yr, with hot and cold streaks. Liriano has been in a funk, but is one of the best pitchers in the league when on a roll. His coach is trying to get him to pitch for contact instead of strikeouts to limit his pitch counts, but there is no way they keep this approach going forward because of the results thus far.

I agree that it is a good deal, but I have some very strong cautions for acquiring Liriano, mainly I think he will get traded to NYY and the park will destroy him. However I don't have faith in Kelly Johnson repeating last years pleasant surprise.

I'd definitely do it, just hope Liriano can return to form.
