Has there been an update on Chase Utley condition & a time table to his return?

Finally going to the minors for rehab.

He's been looking good lately, and should be ready soon. He's started a max-20 day rehab assignment, but many are predicting he'll be back for the Phillies next homestand. At least this is what I heard watching the Phillies pregame last night. If this prediction is true, that would be next Wednesday, May 18th.

May 10 - 2B Chase Utley, who has been sidelined with chronic right knee pain since late February, began an official rehab assignment. He went 1-for-4 with a single at Class A Clearwater. But more important than the stats was the beginning of an official rehab assignment. Utley has to be activated within 20 days, meaning he'll join the Phillies no later than May 30.

May 11 - Utley (knee) went 1-for-4 in his first rehab game with High-A Clearwater Tuesday.

Recommendation: "The knee felt good" Utley told the Philadelphia Inquirer. "I didn't get to do a whole lot of activity." Utley was used as a DH Tuesday rather than playing in the field. Utley will get a day off Wednesday and was uncertain when he would next play. "I still have to talk to some people," he said.

It's pretty interesting, I feel like his recovery has really come out of nowhere. One day he couldn't even take grounders, the next day he's running full sprints around the bases. As a Phillies fan, I was very pessimistic about him playing this year. Back in spring training, it sounded so bad that I honestly was anticipating him being out the whole season. He was waiting out the injury, not electing for surgery, it sounded like a mess. Now, he's pretty much back. Crazy. Let's be hopeful that the knee holds up.
