How to Replace Furcal? WHIR

Postby mrbubs » Wed Apr 13, 2011 12:42 pm

Hi All,

12 Team Yahoo H2H 6x6: r,hr,rbi,sb,avg,ops; w,s,k,era,whip,k/9

I just lost Furcal on a roster that also lacks Dunn, Nishioka, and Matusz. I picked up Peralta when Furcal went down but I don't like him as a long term solution. I have one bench spot open to roster another SS. Pickings are slim:

Aviles
Escobar
Brignac
Hardy
Bartlett
Theriot
Pennington
O Cabrera
Betancourt

Who would you pick up? I'm leaning toward Cabrera and his hot start, but i don't love any of these guys.

WHIR!

Roster:
C Napoli
1B Pujols
2B Zobrist
3B Sandoval
SS Peralta (was Furcal)
INF Youkilis
OF Lind
OF Huff
OF Cuddyer
UTIL Austin Jackson
BN Snider
BN Dunn

P B Anderson
P Dempster
P Lilly
P Hellickson
RP Axford
RP Gregg
RP Franklin

I would stick with peralta right now if it were me. I know he's not the best option, but better than the rest. Hardy showed some promise, but now he's out for awhile.

Pickings are slim indeed. I'd probably stick with Peralta for the time being as well. I like him more than any of those other options.

I'd go with Escobar. It doesn't appear the concussion is having any ill effects on him, and he should provide decent production batting second in the Jays lineup.

I would go with Peralta. 75 RBI's out of SS is pretty darn good. I picked up Peralta to replace Furcal in my league and I have no regrets.
