Passing the Time Before Opening Day

Postby Arlo » Sun Mar 28, 2004 7:51 pm

Five more days. Four more days. Three more days ... Sometimes it seems as if opening day, with all the promise of a new season, will never get here. Passing the time while we wait isn't easy, but here are a few suggestions. Let us know whether you recognize yourself in any of these points, and tell us how you've been passing the time!

Post your own ways of making it through those final days leading up to the season! Chances are we'll add them to the list (so please make sure you're sharing your genuine experience rather than something you just read on another website). If we do, of course we'll give you credit on the front page!

Yeah, I have Richard Hidalgo too, got him as a throw in on a trade. Can't quite bear to drop him, so when I get a trade offer I don't like, like Giambi and Shawn Green for Helton, I respond with Hidalgo straight-up for Green, to show how much I hate the Dodger's outfielder.

That's how I pass my time. B-)

8. Agonize over whether to drop your third bench OF for that sleeper RP who just might get a save or two this year.

Guilty. :-D

11. Feel sorry for the football folks who have to wait even longer.

Football? What's that? :-?

Lol. :-D
Yes doctor, I am sick.
Sick of those who are spineless.
Sick of those who feel self-entitled.
Sick of those who are hypocrites.
Yes doctor, an army is forming.
Yes doctor, there will be a war.
Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

1. Endlessly search the net for confirmation that Aaron Miles will be starting at second base in Colorado, and daydream of the numbers he might put up at Coors.

And we have confirmation... :-)

I currently have taken up the hobby of counting tears from all of those who drafted Mark Prior in the top 5 of their leagues. :-D
